home Craig randomly surveys 50 people to find their favorite store at the mall . He finds that 18 people say they like the clothing store the best. If he conducts a second survey with 125 people, which is the best prediction for the number of people who will say they like the clothing store the best?

Solution

For this case we cna solve the problem using a proportional rule like this:

(18)/(50)=(x)/(125)

And solving for x we got:

x=125\cdot(18)/(50)=45

then the final solution for this case would be 45
