4. Dry ice is carbon dioxide in the solid state. 0.2987 moles of dry ice is placed ina 5.00 L chamber that is maintained at 35.1°C. What is the pressure in thechamber after all of the dry ice has sublimed (in kPa)?

In this question, we will be using again the Ideal gas law formula, which is the following formula:

PV = nRT

We have:

P = ?

V = 5.00 L

n = 0.2987 moles

R = 0.082

T = 35.1°C, or 308 K

Now adding these values in the formula:

P * 5 = 0.2987 * 0.082 * 308

5P = 7.54

P = 1.51 atm, which in kPa is 153 kPa
