1) Each girl ran one part of the race.

Total time taken is,


\begin{gathered} 11(3)/(5)\text{ minutes} \\ \end{gathered}

we get that,


3(3)/(10)+2(4)/(5)+x+2(1)/(10)=11(3)/(5)


(33)/(10)+(14)/(5)+x+(21)/(10)=(58)/(5)


(33+(14*2)+21)/(10)+x=(58)/(5)


(33+28+21)/(10)+x=(58)/(5)


(82)/(10)+x=(58)/(5)


x=(58)/(5)-(82)/(10)

Taking LCM of 5,10. LCM of 5,10 is 10

we get,


x=(58*2-82)/(10)


x=(116-82)/(10)


x=(34)/(10)
