x = \frac{-b+-\sqrt{b^(2) - 4ac} }{2a}

By taking the value by given equation,

by putting the value in equation , we get

x = [- 3 ± √3^2 - 4(2 × -8)] ÷ 2×2

= [- 3 ± √73] ÷ 4

= [- 3 ± 8.544] ÷ 4

So, for positive solution, we get
