we have the system

-3x+8y=11 -------> equation A

-3x-5y=-41 ------> equation B

solve by elimination

Multiply equation A by -1

so

-1[-3x+8y=11] ------> 3x-8y=-11 ------> new equation A

Adds new equation A and equation B

3x-8y=-11

-3x-5y=-41

-----------------

-8y-5y=-11-41

-13y=-52

y=4

Find the value of x

substitute the value of y in any equation

-3x+8y=11

-3x+8(4)=11

-3x=11-32

-3x=-21

x=7

therefore

the solution is the point (7,4)
