To solve the system we notice that both equations are solved for y, by equating them we have:


\begin{gathered} -7x+4=-7x-2 \\ -7x+7x=-4-2 \\ 0=-6 \end{gathered}

The last line is clearly a contradiction; therefore the system has no solutions and the answer is A.
