We want to find the solution for the equation

25(x+5)=20(1.5x+1)

Using the distributive property(given below)

a(b+c)=ab+ac

We can expand our expressiona s

\begin{gathered} 25(x+5)=20(1.5x+1) \\ 25\cdot x+25\cdot5=20\cdot1.5x+20\cdot1 \\ 25x+125=30x+20 \end{gathered}

We can subtract 20 from both sides of the equation

\begin{gathered} 25x+125-20=30x+20-20 \\ 25x+105=30x \end{gathered}

Then, we can subtract 25x from both sides

\begin{gathered} 25x+105-25x=30x-25x \\ 105=5x \end{gathered}

Finally, if we divide both sides by 5 we're going to have our answer

\begin{gathered} (105)/(5)=x \\ x=21 \end{gathered}

And this is our answer. x = 21.
