The number is basically saying 2.1*10^(-10)

The base is 2.1 and the exponent is -10. The exponent of -10 tells us to move the decimal point exactly ten spaces to the left and we will end up with the final answer 0.00000000021

Note: there are 9 zeros between the decimal point and the '2'
