A bug on a bicycle wheel moves in a circle through 40 radians. If the radius of thewheel is 0.6 meters in length, what is the total linear distance the rock moved? Note:give only your numerical answer. Give your answer in units of meters.

In order to determine the total distance traveled, use the following formula:

s = r·θ

where r is the radius of the wheel and θ is the radians of the angle.

In this case:

r = 0.6 m

θ = 40 π

replace the previous values into the formula for s with π = 3.1415:

s = (0.6 m)(40)(3.1415)

s = 75.40 m

Hence, the linear distance traveled by the rock was 75.40 m approximately.
