Given:

\begin{gathered} Blue-print: \\ 2in=8feet \\ Actual-pool \\ length(l)=16ft \\ width(w)=20ft \end{gathered}

To Determine: The perimter of the pool on the blueprint

Solution

\begin{gathered} Perimeter(Pool)=2l+2w \\ =2*16ft+2*20ft \\ =32ft+40ft \\ =72ft \\ 2in=8ft \\ 8ft=2in \\ 72ft=72ft*(2in)/(8ft) \\ =18in \end{gathered}

Hence, the perimeter of the pool on the blueprint is 18 inches
