n-2=(10n+4)/2
Multiply each side by 2
2(n-2)=10n+4
Expand the brackets
2n-4=10n+4
Subtract 4 from each side
2n-8=10n
Subtract 2n from each side
-8=8n
Divide each side by 8
-1=n
Hope this helped
