The motion of an object always caused by the application of forces. When some magnitude of force is applied to an object then the object which is at rest tends to move from its position.

When the force is applied then the rate of change of speed depends upon the amount of force which is applied on object as stated by Newton's law of motion. The mathematical expressin of force can be given as,

F=ma

Here, F is the force, m is the mass and a is the acceleration. Therefore, when force increases it results in the increase of acceleration.

The distance covered by the object depends upon the speed of an object as well as the acceleration which can be expressed as,

d=(v^2)/(2a)

Here, d is the distance covered and a is the acceleration. As the acceleration increases then the distance covered by object decreases.
