the area of the rhombus is

A=(a* b)/(2)

where a is a diagonal and b the other diagonal

so replacing

\begin{gathered} A=(4*8)/(2) \\ A=(32)/(2) \\ \\ A=16 \end{gathered}

the are is 16 square miles
