The probability of an event A and an event B happens can be calculated as


P(A\text{ and }B)=P(A)\cdot P(B)

Let's suppose that P(A) < 1, same for P(B). Therefore we can affirm that

[tex]\begin{gathered} P(A\text{ and }B)

Therefore if P(A) and P(B) is the probability of a failure, two indepedents radios will DECREASE the probability of a serious problem, the flight becomes much safer with two radios

Then the correct answer is the letter B.
