The volume of a cylinder is given by

V=\pi r^2h

where r is the radius of the base and h is the height of the cylinder.

Now, in our case, r = 6 in and h = 10 in ; therefore,

V=\pi(6in)^2(10in)
V=360\pi\: (in^3)
V=360(3.14)\: (in^3)
\boxed{V=1130.4\: (in^3)}

The surface area of a cylinder is given by

A=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh

putting in the values of h and r gives

A=2\pi(6)^2+2\pi(6)(10)
\boxed{A=602.88\mleft(in^2\mright)}

which is our answer!
