125.63 (dollars) / 18.25 (hrs) = 6.88384 dollars per hr....he just figure out what he made per hr...and when rounded, he made about 6.88 per hr

Answer: That number represents the cost of work per hour.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

total amount he made a total = $125.63

Number of hours = 18.25 hours

Cost per hour would be

(Total\ amount)/(No.\ of\ hours)\\\\=(125.63)/(18.25)\\\\\=6.88384

So, that number represents the cost of work per hour.
