we have

y-intercept is 8 -----> that means (0,8)

x-intercept is -10 ---> that means (-10,0)

step 1

Find out the slope

m=(0-8)/(-10-0)

m=-8/-10

m=8/10

simplify

m=0.8

step 2

Find out the equation in slope-intercept form

y=mx+b

we have

m=0.8

b=8

therefore

y=0.8x+8
