A company reported a net loss of $2,000,000 during its first year. In its

second year it reported a profit of $5,000,000. Write each amount as an integer.

The numbers are already integers, since an integer is a whole number with no decimals. The net loss figure can be written as -2,000,000, and the second year's profit figure can be written as 5,000,000. You could also write the numbers as -2 x 10^(-6) and 5 x 10^(6), if you are using power-of-ten notation in your math class.
