You lose one quarter, two dimes, and two nickels.

1 quarter = 25 cents= 0.25 dollars

1 dime = 10 cents = 0.10 dollars

1 nickels = 5 cents= 0.05 dollars

2 dimes = 0.10 *2 = 0.20 dollars

2 nickels = 0.05 * 2= 0.10 dollars

Total money he lose = one quarter+ two dimes + and two nickels

= 0.25 + 0.20 + 0.10 = 0.55 dollars

The decimal form is 0.55

We can write 0.55 as
(55)/(100)

then we reduce the fraction by dividing both numerator and denominator by 5

(\frac55)/((100)/(5))} =
(11)/(20)

The fraction form is
(11)/(20)
