Explanation: Cowboy trade cards was something Jerry enjoyed collecting with his friends. He had to make a decision about whether or not he should give up his money to help buy a present for his dad's birthday or spend it on the cowboy trading card he's been waiting for. Soon his father and brother lost their jobs. President trading cards replaced cowboy cards. Now Jerry feels bad about not chipping in money for the birth gift. Towards the end, he makes a decision to sell his cowboy card to Rollie and gives the money to his brother so that he can use it towards his dance. Jerry has become thoughtful and mature by doing so.
