Let x be the number of miles he travelled on the first day
Then on the second day he travelled x / 1.5 miles
so we have the equation
x + x/1.5 = 1380
multiply through by 1.5:-
1.5x + x = 2070
2.5x = 2070
x = 2070 / 2.5 = 828 miles answer
Its C
