x - 1/3x + 2.50 - 3.25 - 0.75 = 4.90
2/3x + 2.50 - 4 = 4.90
2/3x - 1.5 = 4.90
2/3x = 4.90 + 1.50
2/3x = 6.40
x = 6.40 / (2/3)
x = 6.40 * 3/2
x = 19.2 / 2
x = 9.60 <== before lunch, she had $ 9.60
