To understand this question, we should draw a figure

We want to find h

Since h is the opposite side of the angle 58

Since the ladder is the hypotenuse

Then we will use the trigonometry ratio sin


\sin (58)=(h)/(10)

By using the cross multiplication


h=10*\sin (58)

Solve the right side


h=8.480480962

Round it to the nearest hundredth

h = 8.48 ft

The ladder reaches 8.48 feet
