The two main tissues are bone and cartilage.
Bone is made up of collagen and calcium phosphate provides support and protection for body organs
Cartilage which is made up of closely packed collagenous fibers provides flexible support for structure such as ear, nose and trachea

The answer is the compact bone and ligaments. The skeletal system supports and protects the body while giving it shape and form. It is composed of connective tissues including bone, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Nutrients are provided to the skeletal system through blood vessels that are contained within canals in bone. Tendons, bones, joints, ligaments and muscles work in concert to produce various movements
