Solve for p: 3p-2(p-4) =7p+6

first we will get rid of the brackets:
3p-2p+8=7p+6
then we will separate the variable and solve for it:
3p-2p-7p=6-8
-6p = -2
6p = 2
p = 2/6 = 1/3
