graph the equation y = 2x - 3

step 1

To graph a line we need at least two points

so

Find the intercepts

y-Intercept (value of y when the value of x is equal to zero)

For x=0

y=2(0)-3

y=-3

the y-intercept is the point (0,-3)

x-Intercept (value of x when the value of y is equal to zero)

For y=0

0=2x-3

2x=3

x=1.5

the x-intercept is the point (1.5,0)

step 2

Plot the intercepts and join them to graph the line

using a graphing tool

see the attached figure

please wait a minute

Graph the equation y = 2x - 3 please and thank youu-example-1
