I’m having trouble with this problem because I don’t know how to make it into a fraction and also I’m confused on experimental vs probability

(5)/(12)

1) Theoretical Probability works with equally probable events. On the other hand, the Experimental Probability works with the results found in a practical way.

2) The more we repeat an Experimental one it will become closer to the Theoretical one.

3) In this case, our sample space (total outcomes) is 12 balloons. And the number of the favorable event 5 is yellow, so we can write this ratio to find the chance that the next balloon to be sold is yellow:

P(yellow)=(favorable\:event)/(total\:outcomes)=(5)/(12)
