remember, you can do anything to an equation as long as you do it to both sides

distribute
remember a(b+c)=ab+ac
so
6(2x+4)=4(3x+6)
12x+24=12x+24
minus 24 both sides
12x=12x
divide by 12
x=x
true
inifnite solutions

alll real numbers will work for x
