c) III only

1) 3(x^2) is not equivalent to (3x)^2. The second value would have squared both numbers, giving you 9x^2

2) You can simplify all three to a common base of 2. That gives you 2^4 • 2^16, as well as 2^36. 2^4 • 2^16 gives you 2^20, which is not equivalent to 2^36

3) Again, find a common base, 3. You'll now have 3^x • 3^[2(x+2)]. Expand the second part and you'll have 3^(2x+4). You can now multiply and get 3^(3x+4)
