Problem

Solution

For this case we know that we have a rectangular patch and the area is given by:

A= x^2

Where x represent the side length

We can calculate the value of x on this way:

x=\sqrt[]{49}=7ft

Part a

The perimeter would be given by:

P= 4x= 4* 49 ft = 196 ft

And the perimeter for the fence would be:

P= 4y= 4*70ft= 280 ft

Part b

For this case the perimeter is the dependent variable and the independent variable is the lenght of the side

Part c

The domain is all the possible values for x and for this case we know that x can be between 0 and 7 since that's the limit for the lenght. And the Range is between 0 and 196ft since represent all the possible values for the perimeter on this case
