The element which account for 23% of human body total body mass is CARBON.
A high percentage of human body is made up of six major elements which are oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus. Out of these elements, carbons contribute 23% to the total body mass of man. Carbon is used in the body for formation of diverse substances.
