We can see here a negative correlation between both variables. It means that as much time the 24 students spend watching TV they tend to spend less time doing homework.

Therefore, in question a), we have that for these 24 students, as the time spent watching TV increases, the time spent doing homework tends to decrease.

Question b

Since we can see that as one variable increases (independent variable, x), the other variable decreases in value (dependent variable, y), then we have here that there is, for these 24 students, a negative correlation between time spent watching TV and time spent doing homework.

Question c

To answer this part of the question, we need to see the line of best fit. In this case, we need to see the value for x = 18 hours, and then identify for which value of y this value of x corresponds to it. We can see that for 18 hours, the value of y is between 12 and 14, and is very near to 14. From the options, we have that the value of 13.4 is the most reasonable option in this case.
