You are learning to read electrocardiograms. You know that the patient you are examining has a pathology affecting thedepolarization of his ventricles, therefore you're looking for a change in what portion of his EKG?The P waveO The T waveO The QRS complex"The P wave" or "The T wave" but not "The QRS complex".None of these would be altered

During the P wave, there is atrial depolarization. During the PR segment, the blood has completely emptied the atrium. During the QRS complex, there is ventricular depolarization. During the ST segment, there will be no electrical output and there will be simultaneous depolarization and repolarization. During the T wave, there will be repolarization of ventricles completing one cardiac cycle.

PROBLEM FROM QUESTION: Depolarization of ventricles, what portion of the EKG?

ANSWER: QRS COMPLEX
