Lady Macbeth makes sure to give the two guards enough wine to make them sleep heavily. Leaving it up to Macbeth to be able to sneak past them (the sleeping guards) to kill Duncan with the two guards' daggers. After Macbeth is finished he leaves the daggers with the guards again.
