When you divide fractions, you have to also use the operation of multiplication. Let us distinguish first the definition of terms for division. When it says A ÷ B = C, A is the dividend, B is the divisor and C is the quotient. Now, we focus on the divisor. It is the term after the division symbol. You take its reciprocal, then change the operation from division to multiplication. A reciprocal is obtained when you interchange the numerator and denominator. If the divisor is originally A//B, then its reciprocal is B/A. The next step would be to multiply the numerators and the denominators, separately.

Let me give an example for demonstration:

4/5 ÷ 2/3
4/5 × 3/2 = (4*3)/(5*2) = 12/10

Simplifying the solution, the final answer would be 6/5.
