The two plans were the Virginia plan and the New Jersey plan. Here is where I explain the plans more in detailed and separately!

Virginia’s plan- Made by James Madison. This plan outline a strong, national government with three branches which were the legislative, executive, and judicial. This planned mostly called for a legislature that was divided into two different bodies (Senate and House of Representatives) with proportional representation.

New Jersey’s plan- Created by William Paterson. This plan was to propose a one house legislature with equals votes from the states and an executive elected person by a national legislature. This plan helped maintain the form of government under Articles of Confederation that added powers to raise revenue and regulate commerce and foreign affairs.
