Difference between Dependent and Independent event:

\begin{gathered} Dependent\text{ Event:} \\ The\text{ outcome of one event affects the outcome of the other.} \\ \text{If A and B are dependent events},\text{ then the probability of both occuring is:} \\ P(A\text{ and B)=}P(A)* P(B|A) \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Independent Event:} \\ The\text{ outcome of one event does not affects the outcome of the other.} \\ \text{If A and B are independent events, then the probability }of\text{ both occuring is:} \\ P(A\text{ and B)=}P(A)* P(B) \end{gathered}
