Since the equation has to be parallel, the slop has to be the same. The slope is 4. Now, you must use point slope form y-y1=m(x-x1). Input your x values, y vales, and slope and you have y+1=4(x+5) Distribute. y+1=4x+20. And finally subtract 1 from both sides and your answer is y=4x+19
