Write the equation in slope-intercept form, then find the slope and y-intercept:

5x+y=4

You can also get rid of 5x in the left, so we can only isolate y. That way y=-5x+4. Then the slope is -5 and the y intercept is 4

5x+y=4

Subtract 5x from both sides.

5x-5x+y=-5x+4
y=-5x+4

Slope= -5
Y intercept= 4

You can tell because slope interceot form is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.

Hope this helps!
