The group of N contains points that are close together. They are called clusters

The point M is farther from the group of points called clusters. Point M is called an outlier

A possible reason for the outlier, M is that there could be an error in recording the test scores and the number of hours

Part B

We can see that from the clusters, the test scores increased with the number of hours. Thus, the association between students' test scores and the number of hours they study is a positive linear association
