Problem

12) Susan is buying supplies for a party. Spoons come in packages of 8 and forks come in packages of 6, what is the least number of spoons and the least number of forks she can buy so that she has the same number of each?

Solution

For this case the best answer would be:

24 spoons and 24 forks

And the reason is because with this amount we have :

24/8= 3 packages of forks

24/6= 4 packages of spoons

And that's the minimum amount that she can select in order to satisfy the requirement
