We are asked to find the range of a function if the domain of a function that is reflected over the x-axis is

(1, 5), (2, 1), (1, -7)

Recall that the domain is all the possible x values and the range is all the possible y values.

From the given ordered pairs, the range of the function that is reflected over the x-axis is

{5, 1, -7}

Now we know that the following rule is used for reflection over the x-axis

(x,y)\rightarrow(x,-y)_{}

So, applying the above rule, we get

\mleft\{5,1,-7\mright\}\rightarrow\mleft\{-5,-1,7\mright\}

Therefore, the range before the reflection over the x-axis is

range=\{-5,-1,7\}
