Final answer:

A good citizen stays informed, participates in democracy, respects laws and others, and pays taxes, contributing to society's well-being.

Step-by-step explanation:

Preparing oneself to be a good citizen involves actively participating in civic life and fulfilling your civic responsibilities. This can be achieved by staying informed about issues that affect the community, participating in the democratic process, obeying laws, respecting others' rights and beliefs, engaging in community activities, and paying taxes promptly. By contributing to society and exercising civic virtue, as emphasized by the Founders and influential philosophers like Montesquieu and Rousseau, citizens uphold the social contract and enable the generation of a government that reflects public interest and promotes collective well-being.

Answer:

You can take care of yourself and your physical and mental health. You cannot help others if you haven’t helped yourself.

EX: your happiness and health is a well. Your well is empty. You cannot give the “water” (happiness and health) to the community (another well) unless you take care of yourself. On the other hand if your well is full you can easily pour some of your “water” into the community.

If you take the time to get a shower and feed yourself, go to the doctors and dentists for checkups, and give yourself time to relax and collect yourself, you will be able to pour al that love and care into the community.
