An 11-gram sample of a substance that is used to treat thyroid disorders has a k-value of 0.125. Find the substance's half-life in says, round to the nearest tenth.

Half life time is related with the k-value as:

half life = 0.693 / k,

Then 0.693/0.125 = 5.544 days (assuming k is in days^-1),

So, rounded to the tenth is: 5.54 days
