Since you got the slope and point, you first begin with point-slope form.
Point = (1, -2)
Slope = 1/3
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
y + 2 = 1/3(x - 1)
y + 2 = 1/3x - 1/3
y = 1/3x - 7/3
y = 1/3x - 7/3 is the general equation of the line
