What do you think is the most important aspect of social studies that is used to define humans and their societies? Are there any subject areas that should be included in social studies that are currently ignored?

I personally think that they should add more truth about the presidents or other great people such as how many presidents such as Buchanan had more slaves than anyone in the country at the time. I also think they should give more detail and resolution to stories such as the Lost City of Roanoke which was answered at a later time and it turns out they just moved to a new settlement a few hundred miles down from Roanoke.
