2x^2 + 6x - 9 = 3x^2 - 11x - 7\\ x^2-17x+2=0\\ a=1\\ b=-17\\ c=2

2x^2 + 6x - 9 = 3x^2 - 11x - 7

Subtract 2x^2 from both sides
6x - 9 = x^2 - 11x - 7

Substract 6x from both sides
-9 = x^2 - 17x - 7

Add 9 to both sides
0 = x^2 - 17x + 2

a = 1
b = -17
c = 2
