Find the value of x and y-example-1

That's an isosceles triangle. It has equal sides but different base. The angles at the base are congruent.

The sum of all internal angles of a triangle is 180°.

Then you find the base angles summed by subtracting 120 to 180.

180°-120° = 60° (x+y)

x = y = 60/2 = 30°
