Kayla, a student at learnwell university, owes $20,000 in unpaid tuition. if kayla does not pay the tuition, learnwell will not allow her to graduate. to obtain the funds to pay the debt, she sends e-mails to people that she does not know asking them for financial help to send her child, who has a disability, to a special school. in reality, kayla has no children. is this a crime? if so, which one?

It is a crime and be considered as a cyber fraud. It is because she uses the internet or in a way of sending e-mails of means of deceiving other people of which she lies about having a child in order to  gain money from them. That is why her actions is considered to be a crime even if she is in need of money, she does not need to lie about it just to gain.
