r(x) = |x- 2|- 1

using a graph tool

see the attached figure

So

1) the domain of the function is all real numbers-----> interval (-∞,∞)

2) the range of the function is the interval [-1, ∞)

3) the function decrease on the interval (-∞,2)

4) the function increase on the interval (2,∞)

5) the function has two x-intercepts-----> (1,0) and (3,0)

6) the function has one y-intercept-----> (0,1)

therefore
